My doctor recommended at least 5 sessions of lymphatic drainage massage. That’s when I found Brazilian Beauty Treatments by therapist Kenia online. Kenia has over 25 years of experience and is truly professional. After her treatments, all my pain was gone — I went from walking like a grandma to feeling confident with my new body. She offers all types of massages and I can’t recommend her enough, especially for anyone needing post-surgery care.Posted on Chrisoula IordanidisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had my first Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage today and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I’ve seen all the before-and-after photos online, but experiencing it in person was completely different. The massage itself was surprisingly relaxing but also very intentional — the movements felt purposeful, like everything was being guided and flushed out. It wasn’t painful at all, just firm in the right areas. The biggest surprise for me was how immediate the results were. As soon as I stood up, I noticed my stomach looked flatter and my body just felt lighter, almost like I’d let go of a lot of built-up fluid and puffiness I didn’t even realize I was holding. My digestion felt calmer too, and I left with more energy than when I walked in. What I loved most is that it didn’t just feel cosmetic — it actually felt good for my body, like a reset from the inside out. I can completely see why people recommend it not only for shaping but also for wellness. I’d definitely go back and make this part of my self-care routine bloody amazing!Posted on Alexandra RaftopoulosTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. im super fussy and don’t go anywhere else for a massage! amazingPosted on tes parashosTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lymphatic drainage massage is a therapeutic technique designed to support the circulation of lymphatic fluid, reduce swelling (oedema), and strengthen immune function. It involves gentle, precise strokes that stimulate lymph flow and encourage detoxification.
Lymphatic drainage massage may be beneficial if you:
Lymphatic drainage massage should be avoided if you have:
Some individuals may experience temporary side effects such as fatigue, headache, or mild nausea after treatment.
Lymphatic massage is a gentle manual therapy that uses rhythmic, wave-like movements and light pressure to stimulate the lymphatic system. By directing lymph fluid towards the lymph nodes, it assists in removing waste and toxins while promoting circulation, reducing swelling, and enhancing overall wellbeing.
Frequency depends on your individual needs and goals. After procedures such as liposuction, regular sessions may be recommended early in recovery, gradually decreasing as swelling subsides and healing progresses.
Q: Can I eat before lymphatic drainage?
A: Avoid heavy meals before your session, as they may cause abdominal discomfort and reduce effectiveness. Discuss individual needs with your therapist.
Q: How long should I wait after a meal?
A: It’s best to wait at least one hour after eating before undergoing lymphatic drainage.
Q: Are there foods I should avoid?
A: Steer clear of foods high in saturated fat, sugar, or salt, as well as alcohol and caffeine, which may contribute to fluid retention.
Q: What about early morning sessions?
A: If you require drainage in the morning, have a light, balanced breakfast (such as fruit, yoghurt, or whole grains) at least an hour beforehand.
Q: Is it recommended on an empty stomach?
A: No, avoid attending on an empty stomach, as this may cause dizziness or discomfort. A light snack an hour before is ideal.
Q: What should I drink before treatment?
A: Stay well hydrated with water or caffeine-free teas. Good hydration supports lymphatic flow and treatment effectiveness.
In summary: Avoid heavy or fatty meals before your session, opt for light, nourishing foods, and drink plenty of water before and after to support detoxification and fluid balance.
